Stealing a moment or two...
Hey there snobby music fans,
I've managed to steal away a quick moment from my currently busy study schedule to throw up a brief post here for all those that assume that I may have been abducted by aliens or something. Fact is, it has truly been a month of quiet contemplation and surreality. I've had to deal with the most tragic news of my life thus far and it's been hard, but thanks to the kind words and support from friends and acquaintances alike, I've been able to deal and cope a heckuva lot faster than I would have otherwise. I'm sure the complete healing process will still take a while, but for now, let's just say that, to quote a good friend, I'm happy to be alive. So I wanted to take the time to thank you all and let you know that I will definitely be back chronicling my rock 'n roll scene in February.
I've been listening to a lot of great music over the last few weeks, including some of my usual indie fare, some mild electronica, lots of local stuff, a new album from a semi-legend, and I've even dabbled a bit in R&B. I'll be reviewing all of this stuff in February and I even plan on attending concerts again. My first move at ending my current concert going hiatus should be with The Weakerthans at Nathan Phillips Square on February 2nd. Of course, while I'm itching for some live music, it doesn't mean that I'm necessarily willing to freeze my can off, so we'll have to see about that.
Either way, in February things will be back to normal (relatively speaking) and all four of my blog fans can rejoice that I'll be back doing the music snob thang that I so enjoy. So chow for now, and I'll blog to ya real soon.

I'm totally going to be at the Weakerthans show, frostbite be damned. The New Pornographers were in the same spot last year, and it was totally worth it.
By the way, awesome to actually meet another blogger in the wilderness of the real world. Maybe I'll see ya at the show?
